Carra Story

​Maryann - "Carra" has been painting professionally for more than three decades, defining but not limiting her craft to portraits, figurative art, and narratives in oil. Born in New York, her initial success came on the West Coast, particularly while living in and around the art communities of Southern California.

She left the area during the 1980s and has since studied with renowned portraitist Gustave Alhadeff in Brussels, Belgium, with American artist Jonathan Green in Naples Florida, and at Silvermine School of Art. Currently, she and her husband, Kevin, reside in Ocala Florida, where she works out of her studio.
